Liza's Still Got It

"She's the last legend working on Broadway," gushed one hyperventilating fan as Liza Minnelli drew repeated standing ovations Tuesday at the Palace. There wasn't a dry eye in the house when the mascara'd moppet belted her mother Judy Garland's anthem, "When you play the Palace, you know you've got it made."

Backstage after the show, Liza and her brain trust, Billy Stritch and Ron Lewis, accepted air kisses from Candice Bergen and Marshall Rose, Jane Krakowski, Tommy Tune, Denise Rich and Richard Turley.

--I'm sure the show was amazing, but I can't stop staring at the picture.

Thanks For Clearing That Up

"I'll smoke anything that comes around. It doesn't matter to me what type it is. People like to give me it. They feel that I shouldn't be without it. The vaporizer makes it easier on my lungs, because I was coughing and wheezing a lot"

Christie Hefner Steps Down

Hugh HefnerÂ’s daughter Christie, who has sat at the helm of the $300 million Playboy Enterprises empire for the last two decades, stepped down from her post yesterday.

The self-described feminist has faced a myriad of challenges on the job in recent years, including falling subscription rates for the companyÂ’s flagship magazine, in part due to the increasingly widespread availability of adult content on the internet. Most recently, there was talk of selling her fatherÂ’s Playboy Mansion residence to raise cash for the corporationÂ’s nose-diving portfolio. Three years ago, Christie was named one of the worldÂ’s most powerful businesswomen. Now, inspired by the Obama campaign, sheÂ’s making noises that suggest a shift into politics.

Nothing warms the heart like Ellen Degeneres and Britney Spears coming to your door singing carols and dressed like madrigals. "Deck the halls with boughs of crazy...Fa La La La La..."

Fame!

According to The Hollywood Reporter Megan Mullally, Kelsey Grammer, Charles S. Dutton, Bebe Neuwirth and Debbie Allen have all been cast as teachers in the remake of the movie Fame.

All five actors have noteworthy performing arts backgrounds. Mullally, who will play a voice instructor, graduated from the School of American Ballet; Grammer, who will play an orchestra conductor, attended Juilliard; Dutton, who will play an acting teacher, went to the Yale School of Drama; and Neuwirth, who will play a dance teacher, has won two Tonys. And Allen, who played dance teacher Lydia Grant in the original film, will appear in the updated version as Principal Simms.

I will so be going to this! I loved the show, and was convinced I was going to go to Juilliard! Ha. Come on...sing it with me..."Remember! Remember! Remember!"

Thank God

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown aren't back on.

Earlier this week, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Houston and Brown had been spotted "looking very romantic" during recent dinner dates in Georgia and that their teenage daughter, Bobbi Kristina, was eager for her parents to remarry.

But a rep for Houston tells The Associated Press that the report is "a complete fabrication." Houston and Brown divorced in April 2007 after 14 years of marriage.

Man, I miss me some Being Bobby Brown, don't you?
